Beautiful Pots

I took a break from potting for hill farming and bringing up a family; I knew I wasn’t finished with making beautiful pots, but I hadn’t intended for the break to be such a long one.

I was often asked why I didn’t start potting again, but having moved my ancient gas kiln from Graig Ddu to where we were now, the kiln wasn’t in the best place.

But in 2025 synchronicity took charge and the pieces of the puzzle began falling into place beautifully. A chance comment from a friend put me in touch with a pottery co- operative in Hereford. They would rent me the kiln space and fire the work for me. Finding this key piece of being a potter allowed me to start potting again.

All that was needed now was an imaginative re-set of my workspace, and to reclaim the dried-out clay that I had put aside for when I knew I would be making again.
